Happy Graduation

"You have brains in your head.
You have feet in your shoes.
You can steer yourself any direction you choose.
You’re on your own. And you know what you know.

And YOU are the guy who’ll decide where to go."
-Dr. Seuss, Oh The Places You'll Go

This past Saturday I finally did it. I graduated from Indiana University. How fast those four years went by. It seems like just yesterday I was arriving to B-Town and unloading my stuff into my dorm room at Foster Magee, running into Shannon's arms, and so excited for the next phase of my life. I joined Theta, made new friends, became part of IUSF, and lived the college dream. With a blink of an eye, it was over. I will forever cherish the friendships and memories I made living in that Indiana town. Here's to some of the best four years of my life. I will never forget you, IU.

Theta Seniors 2011

On Saturday, my pledge class got together to take the traditional Theta Senior pictures around our gorgeous campus. The wonderful and talented Suzie Reecer was our photographer - Theta is so lucky to have her - and did an absolutely phenomenal job. Every photo is so wonderful and brings a smile to my face. Here's a sample of my favorites.

In front of our favorite place, of course!

Couldn't imagine life without them

So much genuine happiness and laughter captured

This next picture is one of my absolute favorites. We got a little wet from the fountain, but then took it to a new extreme by just playing in it and getting totally soaked. We couldn't stop laughing and got a few honks as cars drove by on Jordan! Such a fun and memorable couple of hours.

Movies On My Mind

I am a sucker for romantic comedies. Typical, I know. But they are just always such feel-good movies and I don't get quite the satisfaction from a thriller as I do a good ole rom-com... probably because half the movie my face is in a pillow because I'm too scared to watch. Today when I got on imdb.com because I didn't feel like starting my paper or studying spanish, I saw a new trailer released for "One Day". I'm not exactly sure what genre this movie falls under, but it looks AMAZING and I cannot wait to see it. And even though I hated Love and Other Drugs, I do like Anne Hathaway and the director directed "An Education". AND they use the song Good Life by One Republic in the trailer, so I'm sold. My favorite line of the trailer is "...She made you decent, and in return, you made her so happy."My heart is melting.
