SPRING BREAK IS MEANT FOR ADULTS

The beach has been on my mind 24/7 recently, and it's probably because I'm still in that mentality I've had since preschool that come March, I get a week off for Spring Break. Can I just say how much I would LOVE to be heading down to Key West or Seaside or the Bahamas or really anywhere warm in a few weeks?! I want to do nothing more than spend hours upon hours laying in the warm sun and feeling that nice ocean breeze. Which is why I've come to a conclusion. Spring Break should not be exclusive to those going to school and teachers, but open to everyone. Let's be honest, in college you use the break as a way to go to an fun place and pretty much drink an entire week straight, coming back to school more tired than when you left (not that it's necessarily a bad thing). However, if I got Spring Break as an adult, I would definitely be using the time to relax and recharge my batteries. It's too bad I don't have the patience to be a teacher.... then this wouldn't even be an issue :) So who's with me? Should we start a Spring Break movement?!

key largo, montego, baby why don't we go?

In less than 48 hours I will be on my way to Key Largo FLORIDAAA and I cannot wait to feel the hot rays and ocean breeze on my face and wiggle my toes in the sand! I'm taking off from blogging for the week so I can fully enjoy myself and my friends on my last spring break ever.

this has got to be the good life

I have a tendency to freak out when I think about how I have plans for every weekend until I graduate. To me, this means that the next two months are going to fly by way too fast. But then again, I have so much to look forward to. This weekend I am headed to Mardi Gras in St. Louis with a group of my best friends. St. Louis has the second largest Mardi Gras celebration behind New Orleans, so I think we are guaranteed to have a good time. With a limo, drinks, and beads, I'm not sure how anything could go terribly wrong!

After Mardi Gras, we have Spring Break in Key Largo, where we've rented a beach house for 18 girls in my pledge class. I can't wait to lay on the beach and spend quality time and laughter with my best friends. And of course, soak up some much needed rays! Then there we have Quals, officially kicking off the Little 500 season. April brings bar crawls, spontaneous date parties, day drinking at Kilroys, boats, THE Little 500, Keeneland, and my birthday. The best really is yet to come!
