WORKOUT WEAR

One of my goals for 2014 was to start exercising more. After being nearly two months into 2014, I'm making getting fit a priority. I went to the gym twice last week and it was actually really nice. I was able to decompress and get any frustration and stress out through working out. I also started sleeping better through the night, which is definitely a plus.

Now that I'm becoming quite the exerciser (ha!) it's time to get some activewear. Typically I wear just a tshirt and shorts to the gym, but if I'm planning on sweating, I think it's better to get some breathable activewear. I've seen a lot of praise for Old Navy's workout gear and after browsing through their selection, I have to say I'm impressed. As great as it would be to rock Lululemon 24/7 at the gym, who really has the disposable income for a $60 top you're going to sweat in?! I mean that's just absurd to me. So Old Navy's price points are awesome and right on target with my budget, not to mention the clothes are cute! I'm definitely going to head out to Old Navy this weekend and pick up a few things. Then I'll be hitting the YMCA in style!

Have y'all ever worn Old Navy Activewear? What do you think?

BOOTIES ON A BUDGET

Confession: I don't have unlimited funds to buy all the fall clothes I want. In fact, I have to be pretty strategic in what I want buy because funds can get a leeeetle tight. Being on a budget is always tricky with the changing seasons because I want to buy just about everything in sight, especially when I walk in J.Crew. It's like all the clothes are just screaming at me "Buy me! Buy me!" One thing that is on my fall necessity list is a good pair of booties. Last year, I bought an awesome pair of black suede wedges from Nine West that got me through the winter months. Now I would love a more casual pair for every day fall wear. Although the above aren't made out of leather, I think they are pretty good options for a girl on a budget! Plus, you can always count on Target, and Old Navy has definitely been stepping their game. I'm thinking #2 or #6 need to be made mine.

Do y'all have any favorite places to get shoes on a budget?

currently

Anyone know how it is already Friday?! I swear this week just flew by. It was a fun one - we had a pre-launch party our moonshine client Monday night, Adweek named The Buntin Group top agency in Tennessee, went to a "Style Setters" event at the Hermitage Hotel on Wednesday and spent last night relaxing. This weekend I'm headed to Indiana to see a sorority sister get married. Can't wait - it's the first wedding of my group of friends and I'm SO excited to see everyone and celebrate Brooke and Mark! Hope everyone has a fabulous weekend. Now for my weekly loves and lusts:

---

1. Lulu & Georgia Lydia Lamps: If you haven't heard of Lulu & Georgia, head to the site now. They have a fantastic assortment of rugs at all prices, lamps, pillows, and home accessories. I love the set of the Lydia lamps. I think the chartreuse is so fun, but I could also go for a neutral like black or ivory.

2. Alexander Wang Motorcycle Jacket: I mentioned last week I want a leather motorcycle jacket - although with my budget I likely will be settling for a "vegan" (aka a fancy way to say fake) leather jacket. If I had endless funds, I would be making this Alexander Wang jacket mine. It's basically perfect. This Old Navy version is a pretty decent option though, and $50 is much more affordable!

3. Club Monaco Sunglasses: Because why not? They are a classic shape and I love tortoiseshell.

4. Dash & Albert Rug: We are in need of a rug and I think this one is an excellent one. After seeing it on Liz's blog, it seems like the perfect balance of a pattern and a neutral.

5. Sailor Knot Earrings: Mackenzie has such a good selection of products in her shop, Design Darling, and these earrings are just one of many items to catch my eye. I currently wear diamonds as my every day earring, but I think a classic pair of gold earrings is an essential.

6. J.Crew Elbow Patch Sweater: It just wouldn't be right not to include J.Crew, would it?! I absolutely love all of the new fall arrivals, including this sweater with the leather elbow patches. So cute, classic, and cozy for the fall months ahead!

Luck of the Irish

Luck of the Irish

In case you've been living under a rock, Saturday is St. Patrick's Day! For the past four years, I have spent St. Patrick's Day on Spring Break. Last year it was in Key West with some of my favorite Thetas and Delts boys; the year before in Frat Lauderdale, dancing my heart out at America's backyard with my best friends, celebrating our little Catherine's 21st birthday right.

This year, I'm a little unsure of plans, but Patrick will be in town and Courtney and I are trying to plan something fun! It won't be Spring Break or the beach, but I'm sure Atlanta will still impress, especially since it's supposed to be in the 70s. Since I won't be galavanting around in a swimsuit, I need some sort of outfit plan that incorporates green. I picked up this white sweater tank from Old Navy that I kind of love. I don't have the green pants yet, but I would definitely wear those for a statement of green, paired with a pink belt, Jack Rogers sandals, and some simple Kate Spade jewelry. If only I had enough money to go buy an entirely new outfit, right?

What are your St. Patrick's Day plans?
