Another Friday, another Currently! Work has been so busy and crazy recently, so I'm really happy to see Friday here. Plus, I'm not traveling so it will be nice to spend a weekend in Nashville. As much as I love going on trips and visiting friends, I also love being in my own city. Do y'all have fun plans? I'm doing a yard sale with a co-worker on Saturday - we are selling all of our old clothes that we don't wear anymore! Other than that, I don't have any major plans, but I am hoping to get out one night and let loose! Now - for what I've been Loving and Lusting over this week!

----

1. Sole Society Suede Bow Pumps: Now that we are in October, it's time to dress like it's fall, even if the temperatures do reach 80 every now and then. Since I haven't had a full time job the past 2 falls, this is the first time I've needed clothes and shoes for "fall lady executive" (lady executive being used lightly). I think these pumps would be a good addition - a good neutral and I love the bow! Plus, you can't beat the price. $50?! That's a steal.

2. Target Ponte Moto Jacket: I want this. I need this. It's been sold out everywhere in the olive color and now it's back online. Yep. Already in my cart.

3. J.Crew Bracelet: I mean... it's just pretty. I love jewels. Can I have everything on J.Crew's website?

4. Domino Magazine: Did you hear? Domino Mag is BACK. For all the home decorators and interior designers, this is great, great news. The magazine is coming back digitally, and will be published for newsstands quarterly. The first issue goes on sale October 8. All is right in the design world again.

5. Jimmy Fallon: So this isn't a pair of shoes or sweater, but I am absolutely lovingggg Jimmy Fallon. His skits are hysterical - did you see #Hashtag with Justin Timberlake (another one of my favorites)?! It actually doesn't get old - I've watched it probably 15 times now. Or the insane lip sync battle with Joseph Gordon Levitt and Stephen Merchant? It's priceless, and JGL kills it with Superbass. Team Fallon right here.

6. Nashville Map Print: The coffee table is complete (more on that next week), so now we need to find a rug and start decorating the walls. I think this Nashville map print is a given, and I think it would look great in our entryway above the entryway table. Oh Nash, how I love ya.

Happy Friday and have an amazing weekend!

What a week! A few things I'm loving and lusting over this week - like this Calypso sequined jacket. How amazing would you feel wearing that? Instant celebrity power, I'm telling you all! I'm pretty sure the Topshop tank could quickly become a staple in my spring/summer wardrobe, especially since it comes in a variety of colors, and I love those snakeskin pants.

Hope everyone has a great weekend. I'm excited to have absolutely no plans, especially since I have a busy spring coming up. I'm envisioning sleeping in, watching Oscar-nominated movies, and quality time with friends. See you all on Monday!

This week's Currently has a theme to it, doesn't it?! I didn't even realize until about halfway through that everything I was adding had some black and gold in it, and then I just had to keep the theme going! This week I am loving some cute coasters from Sugar Paper that are perfect for the upcoming Valentine's Day and this Threshold bench that I would love to have in my house... the question is where! I've loved the Kendra Scott pendant necklace for so long, and the bracelets from C.Wonder are just great accessories to any outfit (plus an extra 50% off!). If you have friends that are getting married, I highly suggest the adorable cocktail glasses from Furbish Studio. At only $18, they are such a good deal and a present that's different than hand towels. This jumpsuit rings in at under $100 - just barely - but it seems like something that you could have for years. And I've had my eye on this J.Crew jeweled shirt for awhile now... and it's 40% off.

I'm planning on spending my weekend relaxing - going to a movie tonight, maybe shop around Franklin tomorrow... ah it sounds nice to just hang, doesn't it?! Have a great weekend!

OPEN TOED BOOTIES

I have been noticing that open toed booties seem to be a trend this spring, which I am personally all for. I always have a challenge figuring out what to put on my feet in March/early April. I don't want to wear heavy winter boots, but it's also not quite seasonally appropriate to bring out the sandals and summer heels. These two options are pretty much exactly alike and offer similar colors of leather. The major difference is the Target version is less than half the price of the Steve Madden bootie... and of course, not actually real leather. But for $34.99, how can you pass these up?!

BAR CART DREAMS

I totally have a thing for bar carts, along with the entire blogging community. They are such a thing right now, but how can they not be for someone who has grand visions of entertaining and parties?! I loveeeee the Society Social bar carts, but let's be honest, they are definitely an investment piece. This Target bar cart by Threshold is much more reasonable for my budget. I have eyed it in the store, and after seeing how great Mackenzie styled it for the holidays, I'm in love. Instead of sugar plums, I've got visions of bar carts dancing in my head!

GLOVE ME

Now that it is getting colder in Nashville - it got down to 22 degrees last night!!!! - it's time to break out the winter wear (enter sighs). One thing that I need to purchase this season is a pair of leather gloves. They are so chic looking, and these Mark & Graham gloves have 100% cashmere lining, so you know your hands will be kept warm. Add a little personalization with a monogram and you're set. Here are a few options if you are looking:

BOOTIES ON A BUDGET

Confession: I don't have unlimited funds to buy all the fall clothes I want. In fact, I have to be pretty strategic in what I want buy because funds can get a leeeetle tight. Being on a budget is always tricky with the changing seasons because I want to buy just about everything in sight, especially when I walk in J.Crew. It's like all the clothes are just screaming at me "Buy me! Buy me!" One thing that is on my fall necessity list is a good pair of booties. Last year, I bought an awesome pair of black suede wedges from Nine West that got me through the winter months. Now I would love a more casual pair for every day fall wear. Although the above aren't made out of leather, I think they are pretty good options for a girl on a budget! Plus, you can always count on Target, and Old Navy has definitely been stepping their game. I'm thinking #2 or #6 need to be made mine.

Do y'all have any favorite places to get shoes on a budget?

TARGET FINDS

It's no secret that Target is ah-mazing. I've said it once and I will say it many, many more times: I can walk in there with every intention to ONLY buy toothpaste and contact solution, and inevitably walk out with a new jacket, candle, some Valentine's Day paper I found in the $1 section, and who knows what else. On Saturday I headed to Target for basic necessities, but thanks to a tip from my mom, left with a sweet new chambray blazer, seen above. Can we just talk about how cute that blazer is? And the seersucker one? The photos really don't do them justice - very lightweight, comfortable, versatile... yep I'm obsessed with my chambray one. Not to mention these shoes.... hello, perfect spring shoe. Perfect for the days when you're ready to wear spring/summer attire but open toed sandals might be cutting it a little too close. I would have bought these as well, but they were sold out in my average-everyone-wears-it 8.5 size. Time to stalk other Targets! This fabulous smelling candle was also fully stocked.

In other life news:
 - Went to my FIRST EVER hockey game on Sunday, Predators vs. Blackhawks. Blackhawks dominated and I accidentally cheered for them multiple times... what can I say, I'm from Illinois!!! Also, Sam Palladio (Gunnar from Nashville) sat 1 row in front of us. I swear, I'm not stalking him.

Have a great Wednesday!

THE BEST CANDLE

I think it's safe to say one of my favorite parts of Anthropologie is how good the store smells from all of their amazing candles. My favorite is the Capri Blue candle in Aloha Orchid and Volcano and if I could, I would buy them for every room in my apartment. Unfortunately, they aren't exactly cheap. Enter Target (of course!) This Island Moonlight candle by Illume smells exactly the same as the Capri ones, but costs a fraction of the price. It comes in a cute little tin, burns for 50 hours, and only costs $11! Had there been more than one at my Target, I would have stocked up, considering the last time I found my favorite candle there, they discontinued selling it. Seriously considering driving to another location to find it -- and you should probably hurry on over to grab yours!

Target + Neiman Marcus... Oh this is good.

If I could shop at one store for all my clothes, I think it could be Neiman Marcus (eeek sorry J.Crew!!!) They carry so many brands I love and so many different styles. Target is another one of my favorite places. I think I speak for everyone when I say it is impossible to go in Target and leave without something you never intended to buy. They have the cutest paper products for cheap, good belts, scarves, basics... you get the point.

So when I heard Target and Neiman Marcus are collaborating on a holiday collection this December, well, I almost peed my pants in excitement. They've got a seriously impressive list of designers signed on, including Alice + Olivia, Tory Burch, Diane von Furstenberg, Marchesa, and Marc Jacobs. Holy moly. I think this is going to be bigger than the Missoni craze, and that was pretty nuts.

The collection goes on sale December 1st, so mark your calendars to get to a Target or Neiman Marcus in the wee hours of the night! It's going to be ah-mazing people!

Can I Get the Time?

I recently saw a blog post somewhere (and I can't remember where!) on watches and it was the same idea - watches to splurge on and watches that are a steal. The thing that made me laugh was that the J.Crew Timex watch was listed as the steal at $150.00. Which, really, isn't a terrible price for a nice watch. The part that made me laugh is that Target carries an identical Timex watch for a fraction of the price at $34.99. I've seen it firsthand -- my brother has the J.Crew version and I have the Target version and there truly isn't a difference. Target's changeable straps are cheaper too, so you can mix up colors depending on your mood or outfit for only $6.99 per strap! I have white, lime green, pink, and navy and white striped, but am looking to get a more neutral, subtle color like an olive green for fall. Just another reason to love Target, as if there weren't enough already!
