C.WONDER CLOSING

Happy Monday! I hope you all are making it through - it's rainy and cold here and there's nothing I'd rather be doing than laying on my couch, watching movies, and baking cookies! Sigh.

So, besides Lilly Pulitzer and Target, there was some other really big news in the retail industry last week. You've probably seen, but C.Wonder, started by Chris Burch (Tory's ex-husband) is closing all retail stores and shutting down the website. While I never really connected with C.Wonder and it's clothing options, I really, really loved it for gifts and home trinkets. The price point was perfect and the items were pretty classic. The good news is you have until the end of the week to shop online and EVERYTHING is 50% off. I put together a few things I'll be stocking up on (engagement & wedding shower gifts, anyone?!) and some other items that I want before they are gone for good!

GIFT GUIDE: MY WISHLIST

I can't believe that it's already time to start thinking about Christmas gifts! My blog feed has been filled with holiday gift guides, and I apologize for another, but hopefully mine are a little different and not one of the same!

I thought I would start off with what is on MY wishlist this season. One of the big things I'd like is a new purse for occasions. I have a couple clutches, which are great, but I'm in the market for a nicer purse that can go from holiday parties to spring weddings to anywhere in between. I love this gold Tory Burch purse because it's classic and in my opinion, a neutral color.

Silly and kind of random, but I would really like a cast iron skillet. And the Skinnytaste cookbook to go along with it.

New perfume - oh man I need this. At first I thought about asking for the large 3.7 ounces, but there are several scents I love. With the rollerball, it's cheap enough to get a couple and easy to throw in your purse for midday (or mid-night) touch ups. I love the scent of See by Chloe and Tory Burch.

The C.Wonder lucite letter is sold out in "R", but should it come back in stock, it's on my list. I just think it's cool.

Fur vest, yes please. I would wear you every day and every night. Nothing smells better than a Volcano candle from Anthro, and this print from Kate Spade's limited edition salon wall collection is adorable. It reminds me to continue to travel and seek out new things! And the Loren Hope baubles, well, I love them. Everyone needs a little bling at Christmas, right?

I think that any of these items could be great gifts, no matter the person, but I will have more specific guides coming up next week. Stick around, friends! Merry Merry!

currently

This week's Currently has a theme to it, doesn't it?! I didn't even realize until about halfway through that everything I was adding had some black and gold in it, and then I just had to keep the theme going! This week I am loving some cute coasters from Sugar Paper that are perfect for the upcoming Valentine's Day and this Threshold bench that I would love to have in my house... the question is where! I've loved the Kendra Scott pendant necklace for so long, and the bracelets from C.Wonder are just great accessories to any outfit (plus an extra 50% off!). If you have friends that are getting married, I highly suggest the adorable cocktail glasses from Furbish Studio. At only $18, they are such a good deal and a present that's different than hand towels. This jumpsuit rings in at under $100 - just barely - but it seems like something that you could have for years. And I've had my eye on this J.Crew jeweled shirt for awhile now... and it's 40% off.

I'm planning on spending my weekend relaxing - going to a movie tonight, maybe shop around Franklin tomorrow... ah it sounds nice to just hang, doesn't it?! Have a great weekend!

HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE: THE BEAUTY QUEEN

Is it getting too late for gift guides? I don't think so - considering I have purchased a total of two presents.... whoops. It's only December 12th, people! Plenty of time to get online shopping done. Today's gift guide is for the beauty obsessed. I wouldn't necessarily say I'm this person, but I would die if someone gave me a $500 gift card to Sephora just so I could "play" with different products. There's just something so lovely about perfumes and blushes and lipsticks, isn't there?

This might be one of my favorite guides... because I totally want to be a hostess with the mostess! Any of the above gifts are sure to make the queen of entertaining beam with glee - especially that Society Social bar cart. Can you imagine if that was under your tree?! Talk about ah-mazing.

Just in time for Black Friday: another gift guide! As many know, I love a good monogram. It instantly makes something that anyone could have, like a bag or phone case, personal to you. It's classic and never goes out of style when done right.

THE EVERYGIRL SHOP

The Everygirl has long been one of my favorite websites. I think they do an amazing job of truly relating to the every girl. I really love the career features, because the team picks amazing women who have accomplished so much - whether through a large corporate environment or as an entrepreneur - and do great features on them. One of my favorite parts in the feature is when they ask what advice they would give to their 23-year old self. It's usually super inspiring and relevant to 24 year old me.

Long story short, you can imagine my happiness when the team opened The Everygirl Shop. It has a lovely little selection of prints and phone cases, featuring some of the great advice from the career features. Priced reasonably (nothing over $35), these are great gift items for this holiday season, when a friend lands a job or a big promotion, or to simply remind yourself of every day!

HAYMARKET DESIGNS

If there's one thing I love, it's a good monogram. I wear my monogram necklace from Patrick almost every day and I'm saving my pennies to get a monogrammed swimsuit top and iPhone case. Given my monogram love, it's no wonder I'm equally in love with Haymarket Designs. Consider it your one-stop shop for everything personalized. From coozies to lucite trays to beach towels to iPad cases and everything in between, it is seriously the cutest. I personally think the melamine trays and coasters are a perfect gift for a newlywed couple and I've already determined I'll be having the coozies as wedding favors one day. I also love that they offer such a wide variety of patterns and ways to personalize, but it's honestly hard to settle on one style! Guess I'll just have to continue to buy :)

So many beach towel designs!

Such a cute idea for a bachelorette party or wedding.

iPad case and paper pad - because why shouldn't everything be personalized?!

A tray and coasters are the perfect housewarming gift!

Wedding Bells and Gifts

We've gotten to that age and that time of the year where it seems like weddings are taking over our summers and before we know it, it's fall. Yikes! While weddings are incredibly fun and exciting, they can also be exhausting. And eventually, you may run out of gift ideas for the bride and groom. While it's easy and efficient to turn to the couple's registry, sometimes it's fun to be a little bit more creative. Here are a few of my personal picks for couples everywhere.

Jonathan Adler Letter Pillow  // Perfect addition to the newlywed's home.

Crate and Barrel Corn Picks // This seems silly, but with summer in full swing, these will come in handy! Plus, they are a great color. Add some salad tongs and cutting board and any grill master will love this gift.

Mr. and Mrs. Cocktail Glasses // These are just too cute not to give a newly married couple. Agree?

Kate Spade Illustrated Cake Plate // Because there are certain to be many celebrations that require cake and a great cake plate.
